This page sets out the standards we apply to every listing and every review on Ratings.bd. Healthcare is a Your Money or Your Life subject — bad information can cause real harm. Our rules are written to prevent that.

Listing data

Every doctor, hospital, pharmacy, or medical-college profile is compiled from public sources: government regulator registries, institution websites, conference proceedings, and professional directories. We note the source on every field that changes.

We never publish non-public information — home addresses, personal phone numbers, or unlisted clinic hours. When a provider claims their listing (via the claim flow), they can update their own contact details within the same policy.

Review moderation

Every review is manually moderated before it goes live. The first three reviews from any account are held for editor approval; after that, users with a clean record (the trusted reviewer tier) publish directly subject to post-publication audit.

We reject reviews that:

• Allege medical malpractice without corroborating evidence (those belong to the takedown / legal process, not a review)
• Include personally identifying information about any other patient
• Contain hate speech, profanity directed at an individual, or threats
• Appear to be incentivised, reciprocal, or otherwise inauthentic
• Promote unrelated goods or services

Akismet flags + editor judgement are the first line. Rejected reviewers receive an email explaining the decision.

Corrections

If you spot an error on a listing — credentials, affiliations, chambers, or anything else — email us via the contact page. We respond within 14 days. Corrections are applied in-place; the Last reviewed timestamp on the profile always reflects the most recent edit.

Conflict of interest

Ratings.bd does not accept payment to rank a provider higher, remove a review, or suppress a correction. Paid placements — which are planned but not yet live — will be visually separated and labelled Sponsored. The sponsored product will never touch review content or aggregate ratings.
