Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions patients ask most often about finding doctors, reading reviews, and using Ratings.bd. For anything not covered here, the Contact page is the fastest way to reach the editorial team.
Finding doctors and hospitals
How do I find a doctor on Ratings.bd?
Use the search bar on the homepage to search by doctor name, specialty, or hospital. You can also browse by district or specialty from the navigation menu. Each doctor profile lists their qualifications, chambers, visiting hours, and patient reviews.
Which hospitals and clinics are listed on Ratings.bd?
Our directory covers hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers across Bangladesh, with the deepest coverage in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Khulna. Each hospital page lists its address, contact, services, and the doctors who practice there.
Verification and ratings
Are the doctor profiles on Ratings.bd verified?
Doctor profiles are compiled from publicly available sources — BMDC registration, hospital websites, and peer-reviewed directories. We re-verify key details like BMDC registration number and hospital affiliation on a rolling schedule. See our How We Verify Doctors page for the full methodology.
How are the ratings calculated?
Each rating is an average of the star-ratings submitted by verified patient reviewers, on a 1-to-5 scale. We do not weight, curate, or edit ratings after submission. The total number of reviews is shown next to the average so you can judge the sample size.
How often is the information on Ratings.bd updated?
Doctor availability and chamber schedules are refreshed weekly from hospital and clinic data feeds. Reviews appear within 24 hours of submission. Every profile shows its Last Reviewed date near the top so you can tell how fresh the information is.
Reviews and claims
Can I leave a review for a doctor I visited?
Yes. Open the doctor profile, scroll to the reviews section, and use the Write a Review form. Reviews are held for a short moderation pass to filter obvious spam, then published. You can sign in with Google or Facebook so your reviewer identity stays consistent across the site.
How do I claim my profile if I am a doctor?
Click Claim This Profile on your doctor page, submit your BMDC registration and a verification document (photo ID or hospital letterhead), and our editorial team reviews within 2 business days. Once verified you can edit your chamber info, respond to reviews, and opt in to a Featured Listing.
What should I do if I see incorrect information about a doctor?
Use the Report a Concern link on any profile to tell us what is wrong. If you are the doctor (or authorized practice staff), open the Claim This Profile flow — once verified you can edit chamber details, phone numbers, and visiting hours yourself.
Using Ratings.bd
Does it cost anything to use Ratings.bd?
No. Browsing doctor and hospital profiles, reading reviews, and writing your own review are all free. We are supported by advertising and by verified Featured Listings for practices that want higher visibility — neither of which affects the ratings or review content.
How do I contact Ratings.bd for a correction or partnership?
Use the Contact form for all general inquiries — corrections, partnership, press, or DMCA/privacy takedowns. We reply within 2 business days. For urgent takedown requests use the dedicated Takedown page which routes directly to the editorial team.
